MAI | Moscow Aviation Institute

Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) is one of the world’s leading and unique centers for teaching aviation and aviation technologies and it is one of the leading engineering universities in the world dedicated to teaching aeronautical technologies.

Since its inception in 1930, more than 130,000 students, including 1,000 international students from 40 countries, have graduated from the university. At this university, more than 1700 outstanding professors are in charge of teaching 20,000 undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral students in 10 educational centers, 3 institutes and 4 branches of this university.

Among the 120 graduates of the MAI are 120 general and specialized designers, 50 faculty members from various Russian universities, ۲۵۰ winners of state scientific awards and 21 astronauts whom brought in total, the experience of 12 years of living in space and added to the honors of this university.

In October 2009, MAI was honored with the title of “National University of Aviation Research and Aerospace Engineering”. This means that the university is ranked among the top 12 universities by the Russian government. The university is recognized as a national higher education institution in the world.

Russia itself is a country with indigenous aerospace sciences.

The university has international students from 50 countries and has always been a pioneer in the construction of aircraft engines, engineering sciences and robotics.

History

۱۹۳۰ – Establishment of the aviation upstream school based on MVTU and renamed to MAI

۱۹۴۵ – The institute was awarded for exceptional success and great services during the great patriotic war by Lenin

۱۹۶۰ – Specialist training in missile, space and nuclear weapons systems began

۱۹۸۰ – The institute was awarded for helping in the Soviet government development, courage and strengthen peace.

۲۰۰۹ – MAI received the title of a “National Research University”
