Kazan Federal University is the second oldest university in Russia. The university was originally called Kazan Imperial University and later renamed Kazan Vladimir State University after Vladimir Lenin.

Kazan Federal University is an internationally recognized university center, ranked 15th among Russian institutions and centers. It includes 152 undergraduate courses, 109 postgraduate courses, 137 specialized courses and 88 doctoral courses.

Nearly 200,000 students from 67 countries are studying in this.

In the QS ranking of world universities in 2019, Kazan Federal University (KFU) is among the top 500 universities in the world.

University dormitory

The dormitory serves 8,000 students and has sports facilities, a clinic, a security team and various other facilities. In 2010, the university acquired 20 residential buildings built for the 2013 World Student Games in the Olympic Village. First year students can choose their favorite room in one of the 26 comfortable dormitories, where there are all the necessary facilities for living, education and entertainment.
